Not So Epic 2015

The Youtube video "Epic 2015" was made in about 2007 and basically covered what had happened with technology particularly things that had to do with the internet, and then went and ventured into what they assume was going to happen from 2007 to 2015 and let's just say Marty Mcfly's future was a lot more accurate.

Everything that was discussed up until 2007 was actually factual, and therefore I don't feel the need to list all of the things that it stated prior to 2007 but I'm about to list what if anything the video got correct after 2007 and what they were very far off on.

Didn't Happen:
  • Google Grid
  • Newsbotster was never bought by MSN
  • Googlezon, I mean that isn't even fathomable.
  • Newswars...
  • Still Googlezon, it's just really bad.
  • New York Times going with paid subscriptions
  • New York Times suing Googlezon
  • New York Times goes offline, becomes print only newsletter.
  • Epic never happened.
Kind of Right:
  • Pinky from New York Times, broadcasts from the GPS location to share with their friends.
The video was very far off on most of the things they predicted and the only one I found to be even remotely close was the broadcasts that Pinky invented, which to me kind of resembles Snapchat in a way and also Waze in other ways talking about the accidents in the neighborhood.
