Email and Postal Serivce, Similarities and Differences

This will be a brief explanation of the comparison of email and the postal service. Frankly I think the postal service should be eliminated and it should all be privatized but hey that's just me.

Similarities:

  • Both need an address to get to where they are going.
  • Both go through a postal service in some degree.
  • Both have a mailbox.
  • Both have to stop along the way at several different destinations.
  • Both include a sorting system that determine where the next stop will be.
  • There all laws in which both systems have to follow.
  • Both get solicited by advertisements

Differences:

  • Email is electronic, while postal is a physical letter/package.
  • You can't send things like a package through email, but you can through postal.
  • Email addresses aren't a physical location while a postal address is
  • A postal address can be a little off but an email address has to be exactly precise.
  • Email doesn't need stamps and is pretty much free.
  • Postal mail can take several days or weeks or even months.
  • Email is almost instant.
