Similarities:
- Both need an address to get to where they are going.
- Both go through a postal service in some degree.
- Both have a mailbox.
- Both have to stop along the way at several different destinations.
- Both include a sorting system that determine where the next stop will be.
- There all laws in which both systems have to follow.
- Both get solicited by advertisements
Differences:
- Email is electronic, while postal is a physical letter/package.
- You can't send things like a package through email, but you can through postal.
- Email addresses aren't a physical location while a postal address is
- A postal address can be a little off but an email address has to be exactly precise.
- Email doesn't need stamps and is pretty much free.
- Postal mail can take several days or weeks or even months.
- Email is almost instant.
